A New Chapter at PSI: From KZN to Cape Town and CTO

Relocating to Cape Town has been both an exciting and humbling experience, both personally and professionally.

Leadership rarely announces itself with a clear roadmap. More often, it reveals itself gradually through the decisions you make, the teams you build, the clients you serve, and the challenges you choose to take on.

For me, accepting the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at PSI IT Services and making the move from KZN to the Western Cape was one of those defining moments.

It was a convergence of opportunity, readiness, and the kind of quiet conviction that tells you this is exactly where you’re supposed to be.

More Than Technology

With over a decade in the IT industry, I’ve built a broad foundation spanning technical support, infrastructure, networking, VoIP, connectivity, cybersecurity, and cloud solutions. That breadth of experience has shaped my approach to leadership and my vision for what a truly effective IT partner looks like.

Technology has always been my passion, but I’ve come to appreciate that IT is about far more than systems and infrastructure. It’s about people, businesses, and helping organisations operate more efficiently in an ever-evolving digital world.

The most impactful decisions I’ve been part of were never purely technical. They were made in close collaboration with business owners who trusted us to understand their world and translate that into solutions that actually worked for them.

Why PSI Felt Different

What I value most about PSI is that we don’t simply provide IT support, we build long-term relationships and become part of our clients’ operational journey.

As CTO, I see my role as custodian of that philosophy. Ensuring that as we grow and evolve, we never lose sight of what makes PSI different.

Looking Ahead

Since arriving in Cape Town, I’ve been consistently impressed by the ambition of the business community here.

Across every industry, from professional services and legal firms to retail and logistics, there is a genuine recognition that technology is a strategic asset.

Businesses aren’t just looking for someone to fix their Wi-Fi. They’re looking for a partner who can help them navigate digital transformation, protect them from sophisticated cyber threats, and build an IT foundation that scales with their ambitions.

That is exactly the kind of work that energises me. And exactly what PSI is built to do.

The move itself has been a journey beyond the workplace too. Cape Town has a unique energy that encourages you to think bigger, and I intend to bring that into everything I do at PSI.

I’m excited about what lies ahead. There’s strong momentum, a team committed to excellence, and a market ready for what we have to offer.

The Journey Continues

A line that has always stayed with me from childhood:

“You never know what you can do until you try.”

The willingness to step into new roles, new cities, and new challenges is what separates those who grow from those who stay comfortable.

For me, that journey has only just begun.
